Ethiopia's GD-3 Hydropower Station is one of six cascade hydropower stations in the Esser Genale River Basin. Its installed capacity is 254 MW, consisting of three 8.47 MW vertical Francis hydro-generators. The total reservoir capacity is 2.57 billion cubic meters, the effective reservoir capacity is 2.31 billion cubic meters, and the total investment is 451 million US dollars.
